Montecassino Abbey
One of the most important and beautiful monuments of the city is the famous Montecassino Abbey, which played an important role during the Second World War.
In 1944 it was bombed several times, but always rebuilt in its splendor and is today one of the destinations to discover and visit.

Polish Cemetery
Polish cemetery: the cemetery is located on the slopes of the anonymous mountain, between 445 m asl and the abbey. 1052 Polish corpses who died during the Second World War between February 1944 and May 1944 rest. Among them lie the Commander General Anders and his wife Irene.
